How to use Cup Applicator
To Insert a menstrual cup with the Applicator
- Clean - First things first, wash your hands, then clean the Applicator and Suction Breaker with warm water and intimate soap. Our applicator is made of Mediprene Medical TPE, so it’s easy to sterilize with soap and water. DO NOT HEAT. The TPE plastic can deform with high heat, so do not sterilize it with heat, boiling water, or steaming. Be sure to cleanse with soap and water before and after each use.
- Fold - Fold your cup into a C-Fold or Punch-down Fold. Insert the cup into the Applicator Clip, pushing the cup stem-first into the bottom of the clips.
- Insert - Like a tampon, insert the Applicator Clips into the vaginal opening. Use the Finger Grip to glide the cup into place and release the cup into the vaginal canal.
Note: Be sure not to insert the Applicator Clips too far into the vaginal canal to prevent the cup from suctioning to your cervix. - Set - Slowly remove the applicator clips to set the menstrual cup in place.
To Break the Menstrual Cup’s Seal with the Suction Breaker
- Secure - After cleaning, extend the Suction Breaker until it stops, then twist left to lock it into place. If the arrow is facing you, rotate the Applicator left until the arrow is facing away from you. If desired, insert the Applicator end into the case, and click to secure.
- Insert - Gently insert the Suction Breaker into the vaginal canal until you feel the menstrual cup.
- Break Seal - Gently slide the Suction Breaker tool between the cup and the vaginal wall, and push the Suction Breaker into the cup to break the seal. Then you can easily slide the cup out by the stem.
